![]() ![]() What happened was the first time I loaded the launcher, it worked fine, but gave me an error msg in the top left corner saying the launcher update failed. But, if I close the launcher after re-installing and install the launcher update, the error comes I found the launcher-v2.2020.9 folder and deleted its contents, then copied the contents from the original launcher folder, and then make the 2020.9 folder read only. I'm still playing version 1.29.6 if that has some type of effect. So it seems like something with the new version of the launcher is causing me to have this error.Įdit: I just confirmed I can Resume my game if I delete the launcher and start the launcher and hit resume. When I started EU4 the launcher re-installed, and the resume, play buttons seemed to be working because I didn't see the error I was seeing before, but the little paradox icon in the top left corner of the launcher was spinning and a mouse hover displayed a tool tip saying that the launcher had an update to install and that I should restart the app to install the update, then BAM, after re-starting the launcher again the error was back. I deleted the Paradox launcher like your suggested, and then something weird happened. In macOS delete the directory "~/Library/Application Support/Paradox Interactive"Īfterwards you can start the game from steam again to reinstall the launcher. In Linux delete the directories ~/.paradoxlauncher and "~/.local/share/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2/" and the file "~/.local/share/Paradox Interactive/launcherpath" every directory in Documents/paradox interactive/ that starts with launcher-v2.C:/users//AppData/Roaming/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2/.C:/users//AppData/Local/Paradox Interactive/.C:/users//AppData/Local/Programs/Paradox Interactive/.And then delete the launcher directories(if they exist): On Windows, first use the windows uninstall function to uninstall "Paradox Launcher v2"(if it is there). Launcher problems can often be fixed by reinstalling the launcher: Originally posted by grotaclas:First try to restart steam and your computer. ![]()
